A few words

I am an astrophysicist involved in the study of the solar corona. I work on Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) using white light, EUV and especially radio observations. I try to understand how they develop and propagate in the corona and what role do they play in the acceleration of particles detected in the interplanetary medium.

I am also interested in the quiescent corona. As a doctorate student, I have mapped, at radio metric wavelengths, the structure of the quiet corona and studied the radio signatures of filaments. More recently, I have developped a forward modeling technique of the electron density and temperature in the corona, based on these radio observations, potential field extrapolations, and scaling laws.

I have been for half a year a member of the C.P.A group at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, in Belgium, and I currently work at the Royal Observatory of Belgium in Brussels.
