Welcome to my homepage!

From Aug 2003 to Feb 2008, I have worked at the SIDC— the Solar Influences Data analysis Center. The SIDC is in fact the department of Solar Physics of the Royal Observatory of Belgium, located at the Space Pole, south of Brussels. Anyway, what’s in a nameMy main research is the observation of the dynamics in the corona. Specific topics I studied are waves in coronal loops and the automated detection of coronal mass ejections in coronagraphic data (e.g. LASCO/SOHO). The SIDC as Regional Warning Center (RWC) in the international ISES network provides daily space weather forecasts. To fulfill this task we monitor the Sun continuously using space and ground observations. We have developed software to help us doing this task properly.
